In-Transit Ship Fumigation
The most efficient way to treat grain cargo and ensure quality.
Fintran pioneered in-transit fumigation of Australian grain in 2008. Our team of fumigation technicians have unrivaled experience treating cargo onboard bulk carrier vessels in Australia. As an exclusive service agent for Detia Degesch, we rely on the specially designed Degesch J-system (recirculation system) for our services.
The in-transit fumigation process commences after cargo operations have been completed and continues for the duration of the voyage. Shippers and ship owners can be assured that we provide exceptionally high-quality training to officers and crew, and our staff remain on call to assist with questions or issues during the voyage. We maintain an extensive network of partners at discharge ports across the globe to assist with fumigant removal and issuance of gas free certification.
Fintran holds an off-label permit issued by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and is a full member of the International Maritime Fumigation Organisation (IMFO).
